<p>The purpose of the present invention is to provide a communication system and communication method with which communication charges can be accurately ascertained, and communications can be appropriately cut off. In a gateway exchange (100), communication connections are made in response to transmission requests from mobile devices (300), and then the uplink packet data volumes in uplink packet data sent by the mobile devices (300) are counted. Meanwhile, in an exchange (200), communication connections are made, and downlink packet data volumes in downlink packet data sent to the mobile devices (300) are counted. In addition, in the gateway exchange (100), the uplink packet data volumes that have been counted, and the downlink packet data volumes, for which notification was received from the exchange (200), are added together and the total packet data volume is calculated, and communications between mobile devices (300) are cut off on the basis of the total packet data volume that was calculated.</p> |
