DATA MANIPULATION DURING MEMORY BACKUP

PURPOSE: A data manipulation during a memory backing-up process is provided to efficiently manipulate data during the memory backing-up process. CONSTITUTION: A command data block with a memory address field is received. The memory address field includes first bits displaying positions in a volatile memory and second bits displaying data manipulation. Source for data transmitted to a non-volatile memory(135) is selected based on the data manipulation. The data is transmitted from the volatile memory to the source. Manipulated data is received from the source and is transmitted to the non-volatile memory. The source is a data encryption engine.
