摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength multiplex transmission system, in which a plurality of node devices are connected by means of an optical fiber, and which identifies a reflection point (a fault place) without use of expensive OTDR equipment and by measuring a reflection level in a state keeping connection with a transmission path fiber. <P>SOLUTION: A wavelength multiplex transmission device operates as follows so that a position of the reflection caused by a dirty optical connector end surface or an incomplete fit can be identified without use of expensive OTDR equipment: in a state where there is no light source to be multiplexed in an optical multiplexing/demultiplexing part of a node device, transmits modulated light from an optical monitoring control section for monitoring a transmission path; compares a reflection wave returning from a reflection point with a transmission wave; and identifies a distance to the reflection point from the result of the comparison. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
