<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability by saving the trouble to change settings with respect to a function of saving a recording medium of a recording device. <P>SOLUTION: When receiving information specifying a printing direction of a document to be printed and information associated with a blank saving function of printing the document to be printed while excluding a blank in it, a host computer 1 which controls a printer 3 to print the document to be printed on a rolled sheet 100 makes settings associated with the printing direction of the document to be printed and the blank saving function based on the received information, and then makes the printer print the document to be printed according to the settings and also determines whether the settings associated with the blank saving function need to be changed when newly receiving information indicating a printing direction of the document to be printed in a state in which the settings associated with the printing direction of the document to be printed and the blank saving function are made. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
