<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer and a printing system capable of simply and rapidly performing confidential processing via a network. <P>SOLUTION: A printer 1 includes: communication means; storage means; actuation means; storage control means for allowing the storage means to store actuation object data in association with first authentication information; electronic message transmission control means for controlling an information apparatus 9 to receive an operation input for designating second authentication information and to transmit to the information apparatus 9 an electronic message for displaying an electronic message screen to enable a reply indicating the second authentication information, when the storage means stores the actuation object data; and actuation control means for allowing the actuation means to actuate the processing of the actuation object data which is stored by the storage means in association with the first authentication information when the second authentication information is authenticated, based on a reply indicating the second authentication information to the electronic message, which is returned by the information apparatus 9 that has displayed the electronic message screen and received the second authentication information, and also on the first authentication information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
