<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of a conventional digital camera in which when imaging after setting a self-timer imaging mode, imaging is sometimes performed before the photographer performs shutter release operation and entering as a subject a desired position within an imaging frame. <P>SOLUTION: A digital camera of this invention is provided with an electronic view finder enabling input of a shutter release area which the photographer enters as the subject. By detecting a motion vector moving within the frame of an imaging element and a person within the shutter release area, the digital camera determines that the photographer has entered the predetermined position as the subject. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
