<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid type lead acid storage battery which excels in idling stop life performance and liquid reduction performance at both high and normal temperatures. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid type lead acid storage battery comprises a cathode grid consisting of lead-calcium-tin based alloy, an anode grid consisting of lead-calcium-tin based alloy, a cathode active material, an anode active material, an electrolyte and a connection member, the connection member containing lead as its main constituent and having an antimony content of 5000 mass ppm or less. At least one of the anode active material, the cathode active material and the electrolyte contains at least one of elements in the group consisting of antimony, nickel, silver, molybdenum, copper and tellurium, and the sum of an antimony content, 10 times nickel, silver and molybdenum contents, 5 times a copper content and 20 times a tellurium content in the anode active material, the cathode active material and the electrolyte is 100 to 1000 mass ppm in a mass ratio to the anode active material.
