<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust core capable of ensuring constant permeability characteristics and reducing core loss under a high magnetic field, and to provide a method for manufacturing the dust core. <P>SOLUTION: In a dust core 10 obtained by compressing and heating a coated metal powder, the coated metal powder comprises: a metal powder 1 containing iron as a principal component; and an insulating layer 2 comprising a calcium phosphate and a metal oxide 3, formed on the surface of the metal powder. The surface or the inside of the insulating layer has a silicone resin coating; the dust core has an insulating layer including a particulate metal oxide between the metal powders; the insulating layer includes Ca, P, O, Si, and C as elements; and thickness of the silicone resin coating is from 10 nm to 500 nm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
