In a fuse with a striker pin 21 for operating a switch or other indicating device, the pin is actuated by an explosive charge 16 which is detonated when a spark passes between the electrode 17 and the metal bushing 20, as a result of the circuit voltage appearing on these electrodes after the fuse elements 14 have melted. The metal bushing 20 is connected to the cap 12 of the cartridge 11. The electrode 17 is glued at 18 to an insulating plug 19 and a metal wire 15 connects its other end to the cap 13. The wires 14 and 15 are embedded in a mass of sand and the striker pin is secured in the bushing 20 by a locking device 22.</p> |
