<p>Simultaneously implementing low distortion characteristics and high efficiency operation in an amplifier device is difficult. Accordingly, this amplifier device comprises: a first pre-distorter unit, which outputs a modulated signal of an input signal, to which are added a phase compensation quantity and an amplitude adjustment quantity; a power amplifier apparatus which receives the modulated signal as input, amplifies the modulated signal, and outputs an output signal of the amplified modulated signal; a power supply voltage modulation unit which modulates the power supply voltage of the power amplifier apparatus; a second pre-distorter unit, which carries out a control of the power supply voltage modulation unit on the basis of amplitude information of the input signal; and a control unit which controls the operation of the first pre-distorter unit and the second pre-distorter unit. The control unit further comprises: a phase control unit which controls the phase compensation quantity by a phase coefficient; a first amplitude control unit which controls the amplitude adjustment quantity by a first amplitude coefficient; and a second amplitude control unit which controls the operation of the second pre-distorter unit by a second amplitude coefficient. The first amplitude control unit and the second amplitude control unit operate in a linked manner, controlling the amplification factor, which is the ratio of the input signal amplitude to the output signal amplitude, to be constant.</p> |
