MOBILE PHONE BASED GLUCOSE SENSING AND ALERTING SYSTEM

A mobile system, such as a smart phone, is provided that is equipped with appropriate components and software. The mobile system receives data from a blood glucose sensor attached to a patient and processes the data and makes determination or prediction as to the patient's blood glucose level. When an abnormal level of blood glucose level is detected or predicted, the mobile system will alert the patient. In the event the alert is not responded to by the patient, the mobile system will transmit a warning signal to one or more preselected contacts, which warning signal optionally includes a GPS signal.
