An actuator assembly (108, 110) moves the blade section cutting the opening and the straight blade section between closed and open positions. A controller (18) delivers air when these blades are placed in the open position. Presence of material to be sewn (W) is detected (190) between the opening (160a) of the blade receiver section and the material cutting blade. This allows air to be blown from the air delivery components (77, 77b) between the opening blade component (101) and the straight blade section (102), only when material is absent. |
