<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide corn food which is made so that an ear of corn can be easily split by hand when eaten: and to provide a method for producing the corn food. <P>SOLUTION: The corn food 80 is obtained through: a cutting step P1 for making at least one axial incisions in a longitudinal direction of a single ear of husked whole-state corn 10; a packaging step P2 for hermetically packaging the cut corn 20 obtained through the cutting step P1; and a heating step P3 for heat-treating the packaged corn 30 obtained through the packaging step P2.
