<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plane light source device, which is used for a three-dimensional display device, capable of lessening a difference (darkness difference) of apparent intensity between a right eye and a left eye and a difference (luminance unevenness) of apparent light-emitting intensity on a screen. <P>SOLUTION: In the plane light source device, a left-side light source 23a and a right-side light source 23b are arranged respectively on opposite light-incident end faces of a light guide plate 22. An emitting pattern 25a for making light emitted from the left-side light source 23a emit from a light emitting surface 26 and a light emitting pattern 25b for making light emitted from the right-side light source 23b emit from the light emitting surface 26 are formed on a back surface of the light guide plate 22. When peak intensity of the light emitted from an end on a left-side light source 23a (right-side light source 23b) side of a light-emitting region at the time of lighting up the left-side light source 23a is set to be Ia1 (Ia2) and peak intensity of the light emitted from an end at the left-side light source 23a (right side light source 23b) side of the light emitting region at the time of lighting up the right-side light source 23b is set to be Ib1 (Ib2), the relationship of both peak intensity becomes Ia1>Ib1 (Ia2<Ib2). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
