<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thrust bearing device of an electric rotating machine, in which a thrust bearing is efficiently cooled to increase cooling performance of the bearing and a bearing pad is not thermally deformed. <P>SOLUTION: For solving the problem, the thrust bearing device of the electric rotating machine includes a rotating shaft, a runner attached to the rotating shaft, a plurality of bearing pads in slide-contact with the runner, at least one cooling groove provided in each of the bearing pads, a filler opening for supplying cooling oil to the bearing pad, and a bearing oil chamber housing the runner, the bearing pad, and the filler opening and filled with lubricating oil, wherein the cooling groove is provided so as to connect a side surface on the upstream side of the bearing pad and other side surface on the downstream side thereof, and has an angle on the radial outside with respect to the circumferential direction of the bearing pad, and the filler opening is provided between the adjacent bearing pads and on the inner radial side with respect to the radial center thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
