<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for facial identification that minimizes misidentification in facial identification, and allows a user to provide feedback corresponding to an error in facial identification. <P>SOLUTION: The facial identification system comprises: a face capture unit; a memory unit; a facial identification unit; a user input unit; and a control unit. The face capture unit photographs a driver face. The memory unit stores a user image or image feature values which are registered to a first user ID. The facial identification unit identifies a user by comparing the driver face photographed by the face capture unit with the user image or image feature values stored in the memory unit. The user input unit is configured to receive a signal from the user. If an error occurs in the identification by the facial identification unit, the control unit registers the driver face as a user image or image feature values of the first user ID based on the signal inputted through the user input unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
