STITCH-LAYING METHOD OF FABRIC AND FABRIC

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stitch-laying method of a fabric, capable of obtaining a tightened stitch-laying treatment portion having excellent shrinkage characteristics.

SOLUTION: A stitch-laying method of a fabric comprises: dividing a stitch row into one needle bed (FB) and the other needle bed (BB); and then alternately repeating the following steps [1] and [2] by using the same knitting yarn. The step [1] includes: overlapping on the BB one side end stitch (a stitch η) on one side end in an end of the FB in a start end direction RS with a stitch ε closest to the stitch η in a stitch-laying direction LS in the FB; forming a new stitch P1 behind the overlapped stitch ε/η; and newly specifying the stitch P1 as one side end stitch. The step [2] includes: overlapping on the FB the other side end stitch (a stitch P0) on the other side end in an end of the BB in the start end direction RS with a stitch δ closest to the stitch P0 in the stitch-laying direction LS in the BB; forming a new stitch P2 behind the overlapped stitch δ/P0; and newly specifying the stitch P2 as the other side end stitch.
