<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a knee part of an occupant on the occurrence of a lateral collision. <P>SOLUTION: An occupant protecting device for a vehicle includes: a first airbag bag body 51 that is deployed between a front door 34 (vehicle lateral part) and an outer side knee part 16A on the occurrence of a lateral collision and can absorb a collision energy acting on the outer side knee part 16A positioned on an outer side in a vehicle width direction of the occupant 16 seated on a vehicle seat 12 on a collision side; a second airbag bag body 52 that is deployed between the outer side knee part 16A and an inner side knee part 16B on the occurrence of a lateral collision and can absorb a collision energy acting from the outer side knee part 16A on the inner side knee part 16B positioned on an inner side in a vehicle width direction of the occupant 16; and a third airbag bag body that is deployed between the inner side knee part 16B and a center console 44 on the occurrence of a lateral collision and can absorb a collision energy caused by a reaction force from the center console 44 disposed on the side of the vehicle seat 12 and acting on the inner side knee part 16B. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
