<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reading apparatus capable of shortening a time required for reading by continuously reading without changing a reading setting, even when it is determined that the reading setting has to be changed in the reading of an original document. <P>SOLUTION: In a reading device, when it is decided that a resolution is set to a low resolution in a resolution determination process, and a CPU 101 determines to change the resolution from a high resolution to the low resolution (S103:YES), the CPU 101 determines which reading time is shorter an A route in which an original reading unit 40 reads, after reading an analysis reading range L, a remaining part from an analysis end position K to a reading end position E at the high resolution, or a B route in which the original reading unit 40 reads at the low resolution from a reading start position S to the reading end position E, after returning to the reading start position S from the analysis end position K (S104). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
