<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of imaging a subject in a frame (field angle) intended by a photographer by automatically setting a zoom function in response to a motion of the subject. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises: an imaging unit for imaging a dynamic image; a lens control unit for setting a zoom magnification of an imaging field angle for imaging the dynamic image; a storage unit for storing the zoom magnification set by the lens control unit during a first imaging as correlation data by associating the zoom magnification with time information which indicates an elapsed time from start of the first imaging; and a control unit for controlling setting of the zoom magnification by the lens control unit, in which the correlation data stored in the storage unit is read out at a start of a second imaging after the first imaging is finished, so that a zoom magnification from the start of the second imaging is similar to the zoom magnification from the start of the first imaging included in the read-out correlation data based on an elapsed time from the start of the second imaging and the time information of the first imaging included in the read-out correlation data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
