<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a human detection device capable of estimating the state of a portion of a person from an image. <P>SOLUTION: A human detection device 100 comprises: an evaluation part 430 for acquiring the outer shape of a prescribed portion of a person from an evaluation image; and a shoulder position calculation part 440 and a direction estimation part 500 for estimating the state of the prescribed portion of the person contained in an evaluation image from the prescribed outer shape acquired from the evaluation image based on an estimation model showing a relationship between the prescribed outer shape of the person and the state of the prescribed portion of the person.
