<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a protrusion of a support member towards a side part of a device that may occur when moving the support member that supports a conveying member for conveying a recording material and retreating the conveying member from a conveying path of the recording material. <P>SOLUTION: A protrusion 536 of a third guide member 530 (refer to (A)) is pressed upward by a user, so that the third guide member 530 moves upward. Accordingly, a rotary roll attached to the third guide member 530 moves upward such that the rotary roll is separated from a drive roll. Alternatively, by the upward movement of the third guide member 530, as shown in (B), a side connected to the third guide member 530, of a second guide member 520, moves upward, so that the second guide member 520 rotates about a shaft 522.
