<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner in which a reset time after overheat protection of an electric blower is shortened while the electric blower is surely protected against overheat. <P>SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner includes: a cleaner body; and an electric blower 36 housed in the cleaner body and including an electric motor 53 and a centrifugal fan 54 which is rotated by the electric motor 53 and exhaust to a first air course W1 for cooling the electric motor 53 and to a second air course W2 for cooling no electric motor 53. The vacuum cleaner has, in the second air course W2, a shunt resistor 46 that has a smaller heat capacity than the electric blower 36 and that is heated by a current flowing in the electric blower 36. In addition, the vacuum cleaner has a thermostat 42 that reduces the suction force of the electric blower 36 when the temperature of the shunt resistor 46 exceeds a preset temperature threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
