<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal mechanism, facilitating mounting of a plate spring to a seal member and stabilizing spring characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: In the seal mechanism 10, a plate spring 40 comprises: a spring body portion 44 formed into a curved shape; and a pair of hook-locked portions formed by bending the spring body portion 44. A seal member 20 comprises: a seal face 22; and a pair of projections formed on the back side of the seal face 22 and hook-locking the hook-locked portions. Both ends of the plate spring 40 are free ends.
