The present invention provides a method and a device for locking the network of a terminal. The method comprises: utilizing an International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) carried on a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card of a terminal to register the SIM card to a network, and acquiring a Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) number of the network; comparing a PLMN number segment of the network and a valid PLMN number segment pre-stored on the terminal, and permitting or forbidding the terminal to use the SIM card according to a comparison result. In the embodiment of the present invention, an IMSI number carried on a SIM card is utilized to register the SIM card to a network, and the SIM card is verified in a manner that combines the terminal and the network, so as to prevent the situation that a hacker sets a fake PLMN by use of a SIM unlock card to cheat the SIM card verification, thereby ensuring the security of terminal network locking. |
