<p>The method involves transmitting an acoustic signal e.g. ultrasonic signal, with a direction portion perpendicular to driving direction of a motor car (1) by a sensor (7). The signal is partially reflected by objects within a transmission region of the signal, where the reflected signal is received as an echo signal. Relative velocity of the car is altered to the detected object during detection of the objects, by acceleration or deceleration of the car. The two of the objects are detected as movable objects, when the relative velocity of the car is changed. An independent claim is also included for a device for executing a method for detecting objects e.g. stationary object, such as pillar, for monitoring regions not observable by a rider of a motor car, comprising a sensor.</p> |
