<p>A fiber-reinforced flat plastic wire, a process for producing the wire, and a fiber-reinforced sheet are provided in which restrictions on forming speed and on the number of wires capable of being produced at a time are eliminated, a releasing agent is not used, operations such as surface roughening after forming are omitted, and a considerable reduction in production cost and a great increase in product quality can be attained. The process includes: a step in which a reinforcing-fiber bundle (f2) which has been impregnated with a resin and twisted is tensed at a given strength to make the reinforcing-fiber bundle (f2) have a circular cross-sectional shape, the reinforcing-fiber bundle (f2) having a circular cross-sectional shape is thereafter drawn into the space between two heated flat plates (27a1, 27a2) together with sheets (63, 64) of high-density woven fabric having releasability from the resin which have been disposed respectively on the upper and lower surfaces of the bundle, and the resin is primarily cured while flattening the cross-section of the reinforcing fibers; and a step in which the primarily cured reinforcing-fiber bundle (f3) having a flattened cross-sectional shape is secondarily cured, passing through a heated curing oven (27b). Thus, a continuous fiber-reinforced flat plastic wire (2) is produced.</p> |
