<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell capable of obtaining stable and high output. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell includes: a membrane electrode assembly having an electrolyte membrane arranged between an anode and a cathode; a fuel supply mechanism arranged on a side of the anode of the membrane electrode assembly and supplying fuel toward the anode; a cover member arranged on a side of the cathode of the membrane electrode assembly, forming a space above the cathode, and having an aperture which is formed in the cover member and through which air is supplied from the space toward the cathode; and a pressurizing mechanism sealing the space and maintaining the pressure of the air supplied to the cathode in the space at a positive pressure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
