<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for attaching an exterior component which allows attachment of a bumper without detaching it from a vehicle body when attaching the exterior component to be loaded to the vehicle body, and can reduce working man-hour. <P>SOLUTION: When attaching the exterior component 4 to the bumper 2, temporary fixing of a first mounting hole 2A to be used as abutting hole of the exterior component 4 and the bumper 2, and a first through hole 4A is performed, marking is put on at least a temporary fixing part in which a second through hole 4B of the exterior component 4 abuts on the bumper 2, and the exterior component 4 is once detached. Mounting of the exterior component 4 can be made through the first through hole 4A and the second through hole 4B by mounting a well nut 7 to a third mounting hole 2C formed by carrying out piercing to a marking 4D place of the bumper 2. Accordingly, the marking and positioning of the exterior component 4 can be easily performed without detaching the bumper 2, and reduction in mounting working man-hour and improvement in mounting accuracy can be achieved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
