<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a starter that can suppress a cost increase, does cause the backlash of a collision sound to pinion teeth and ring gear teeth, and can reduce the collision sound between end faces of a pinion and a ring gear. <P>SOLUTION: A one-way clutch 8 transmits a rotation force of a starer motor 3 to an engine, and blocks the rotation force to the starter motor from the engine. The pinion 2 transmits a rotation force of a rotating shaft of the starter motor 3 to the ring gear 2 via the one-way clutch 8. There are arranged a pinion spring 12 and rubber 13 which are damping parts, and when spring constants of the damping parts constituted of the pinion spring 12 and the rubber 13 at a time when warpage amounts of the damping parts are x1, x2 are set as k1, k2, respectively, load characteristics of the damping parts are set to be k1≤k2 when x1<x2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
