<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axial gap rotating machine having a novel configuration that allows cost reduction. <P>SOLUTION: In an axial gap generator 1a, a stator 3a that faces a rotor 2a has stator magnetic poles that include magnetic pole pairs 33 of radially outer magnetic poles 35a and radially inner magnetic poles 36a. The radially outer magnetic pole 35a and the radially inner magnetic pole 36a of one magnetic pole pair 33 are opposite in polarity to the radially outer magnetic poles 35a and the radially inner magnetic poles 36a of the adjacent magnetic pole pairs 33, respectively. At least those of the radially outer magnetic poles 35a and the radially inner magnetic poles 36a that are the same in polarity are formed of permanent magnets. In between the radially outer magnetic poles 35a and the radially inner magnetic poles 36a, an annular coil 4 is provided so as to circle around a magnetic pole face, thereby lowering the amount of coils. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
