<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inform a user of a remaining recordable capacity of image data in a storage medium required for imaging, without requiring time and troublesomeness. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus which performs imaging operation to acquire the image data of the operation comprises: a recording medium for storing at least image data; a mode change detection part for detecting change in the mode of the apparatus; a remaining capacity detection part which when detecting the change in the mode of the apparatus by the mode change detection part, detects at least the remaining recordable capacity of image data in the recording medium; and a remaining capacity information part which if the remaining recordable capacity detected by the remaining capacity detection part is not larger than a preset remaining capacity, informs the user of the result of the detection. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
