<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately perform failure detection based on a message pattern even when the configurations or setting of an apparatus is changed. <P>SOLUTION: A management device includes: determination means 602 configured to, when any failure is generated in an information processing system 605, read detection frequency how many a first message pattern showing a message group including messages received in a fixed period from the information processing system has been detected from failure co-occurrence information 601 in which the detection frequency is stored, calculate the co-occurrence probability of the failure and the first message pattern on the basis of the detection frequency, and determine that the failure has been generated when the co-occurrence probability is equal to or more than a threshold; and updating means 603 configured to, when a configuring element is changed, create a second message pattern showing the message group obtained by excluding the message to be output by the changed configuring element from the first message pattern, and update the first message pattern stored in the failure co-occurrence information with the second message pattern. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
