The contact unit (1) has feasible friction elements (10,11) that are movable between blocking position and release position such that frictional connection between the contact unit and counter contact unit by axial movement of the contact unit relative to the counter contact unit is blockable. The friction elements are radially extended in outward direction with respect to the counter contact unit. An independent claim is included for electrical connector.
