PURPOSE: An anti-theft system and method for heavy construction equipment are provided to output an alarm signal for stopping the operation of heavy construction equipment when the current position of the heave construction equipment is deviated from a normal position range. CONSTITUTION: A GPS module(10) recognizes the current position of heave construction equipment through communication with a plurality of artificial satellites. A vehicle electronic control unit(20) electronically controls parts of the construction heavy equipment. An engine module(30) controls the engine driving of the construction heavy equipment. The GPS module sets and stores a normal recognition range, compares with the current position, creates a position based state signal including a normal signal and a stop signal, and transmits the position based state signal to the vehicle electronic control unit. |
