PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for reducing fire damage, capable of effectively suppressing explosive fracture of concrete, allowing the size of components to be restricted.
SOLUTION: A structure for reducing fire damage comprises a column skeleton 20 made of reinforced concrete and a cover part 40 made of steel which is disposed on a surface of the column skeleton 20 across an air layer 30. Since the air layer 30 functions as an insulating layer to reduce temperature rise of the column skeleton 20, the explosive fracture of concrete of the column skeleton 20 can be effectively suppressed. In addition, since the cover part 40 is made of steel, the thickness of the cover part 40 can be reduced, allowing the size of components to be restricted. In the case of explosive fracture of concrete of the column skeleton 20, the cover part 40 holds down the fractured concrete pieces to prevent continuous occurrence of explosive fracture, so that fire damage can be reduced.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
