<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately determine the position of a tool relative to a workpiece without influence of thermal displacement in a machine tool. <P>SOLUTION: This machine tool (10) includes: a main shaft (24) moving to a workpiece holder (12) in a coordinate system (27) through a machine control device (26) and through a related measuring system (26a); and a tool magazine (31) having tool storage spaces (30), (38). The main shaft (24) is moved to a tool replacing position where a used tool (25) is replaced with a new tool (32). Separate measuring systems (43, 46) are provided to indicate whether the main shaft occupies a measuring position (50) in relation to the tool replacement. In the measuring position, the position of the main shaft to the origin of the coordinate system is determined by the machine control device and the related measuring system, thereby determining at least one correction value (Δy, Δx). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
