<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric rice cooker with heat retention having the function of keeping cocked rice fresh during heat retention for preventing drying, discoloration or offensive smell of the cooked rice. <P>SOLUTION: When rice has been cooked by the rice cooker with heat retention and eaten, the heat retention of the remaining cooked rice is performed. During the heat retention, misty steam is sprayed onto the cooked rice in an inner pot. The steam passes through a superheater and a pressurizing pipe and is sprayed from a steam nozzle during water supply by an IC electric water supply regulator.
