SCREENING METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR USE IN INTAGLIO PRINTING

A screening method for use in intaglio printing, comprising: dividing the entire tonal range into several types of zones on the basis of brightness; generating dots of different screen patterns for the different types of zones. Also provided is a screening apparatus for use in intaglio printing, comprising: a division module (10), for use in dividing the entire toning range into several types of zones on the basis of brightness; a generation module (20), for use in generating dots of different screen patterns for the different types of zones. In the method and apparatus, employment of the dots of various screen patterns solves the prior art problem of being prone to creating texture-marks, thereby improving print quality.
