<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable information terminal capable of reducing power consumption while preventing distortion of sound of a loudspeaker when a battery voltage is lowered. <P>SOLUTION: A portable information terminal 200 is provided with a battery 210, a voltage conversion part 220, and a selector 230. Moreover, a first power feeding line 251 which feeds electricity to an amplifier 180 via the voltage conversion part 220 from the battery 210 and a second power feeding line 252 which bypasses the voltage conversion part 220 are formed. When the battery voltage of the battery 210 is high, the discharge current of the battery 210 is reduced by performing the step-down of the voltage conversion part 220. When the battery voltage is low, distortion with the amplifier 180 is prevented by performing the step-up of the voltage conversion part 220. When the battery voltage is an intermediate value, power is fed from the battery 210 by bypassing the voltage conversion part 220 to reduce power consumption by the voltage conversion part 220. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
