<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device and a display method that allow a user to input a screen scroll instruction and a character string selection instruction with simpler operation via a touch panel. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic device 100 includes a touch panel 120, a memory 130 for storing text, and a processor 110 for displaying the text on the touch panel 120 and obtaining a touch position via the touch panel 120. The processor 110 obtains a slide direction of the touch position to receive a character string selection instruction on the basis of the touch position when the slide direction is a lateral direction and to receive a screen scroll instruction on the basis of the touch position when the slide direction is a longitudinal direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
