<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nerve stimulation device preventing stimulation from being given to a sympathetic nerve for a long time, and easily determining the position of an electrode. <P>SOLUTION: This nerve stimulation device 1 includes: a nerve stimulation electrode 5 inserted into a blood vessel; a nerve stimulation output circuit 11 connected to the nerve stimulation electrode 5, and generating a pulse stimulating a vagus nerve; a heartbeat-detecting electrode 6 detecting a heartbeat; a heartbeat detection circuit 12 calculating a heart rate from a period of the heartbeat detected by the heartbeat-detecting electrode 6; and a control circuit 13 determining the position of the nerve stimulation electrode 5 based on the heart rate calculated by the heartbeat detection circuit 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
