Provided is an input operation device whereby operability is improved by reducing, to the extent possible, erroneous operations which a user does not intend. An input operation device comprises an operation knob (400), which is capable of rotation operations, tilting operations, and depression operations. In a prescribed mode, an operation of the operation knob (400) in a tilt direction is processed equivalently with the depression operation. Processing capable of being carried out with the rotation operation is carried out as much as possible with key allocation to the rotation operation, and key allocation is carried out such that the tilt operation will be processed as much as possible in the same manner as the depression operation.
