PURPOSE: A method for controlling handover according to the moving speed of a terminal and a wireless communication system for the same are provided to improve the success probability of the handover and to prevent the frequent occurrence of the handover. CONSTITUTION: A terminal(40) recognizes and transmits the moving speed of the terminal to a serving base station through a terminal measurement reporting message. The serving base station recognizes the moving speed of the terminal. If the moving speed of the terminal is more than or equal to a critical value, the serving base station selects one of macro base stations(10, 20, 30) from candidate handover base stations listed on an neighboring cell list as a target base station. |
