IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND AUTO COLOR REGISTRATION METHOD OF THE SAME

PURPOSE: An image forming apparatus and an automatic color-matching method thereof are provided to reduce correction accuracy by sensing a surface defect of a transfer belt. CONSTITUTION: A second sensor is arranged in a location opposite to a transfer belt. The second sensor senses a color matching error test pattern. A controlling unit(180) corrects data of the color matching error test pattern through defect location information of the transfer belt. The controlling unit performs control operation in order for the data of the color matching error test pattern not to correct color matching error. The color matching error test pattern is formed in a defect of the transfer belt.
