<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction heating coil that, with a simple structure, greatly improves the processability while reducing high-frequency resistance, and an inexpensive induction heating cooking device using the induction heating coil. <P>SOLUTION: A heating coil 24 employs stranded wires having a flattened cross-section shape deformed from a round cross-section shape by depressing, so that the stranded wires can be easily spirally wound into a coil form, the structure is made simple, and the processability is greatly improved. By a synergy effect of spacing means 30 and a magnetic body layer 31, high-frequency resistance caused by proximity effect is reduced and the heating coil 24 can be compactly formed. Furthermore, as the magnetic body layer 31 can be made thin, it can be easily formed on surfaces by coating, printing, transcription or other means, and a magnetic material can be flexibly structured, facilitating production of a coil form through spiral winding.
