<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation detector capable of suppressing breakdown due to discharge generated between a projection part on a surface of a photoelectric conversion layer and a void part at the periphery of the projection part, and a method for manufacturing the radiation detector. <P>SOLUTION: An insulating material 50 is applied to a projection part 40 having a void part 42, which is formed on a surface of a photoelectric conversion layer 18, by an ink jet method, and then, a step for making into a reduced pressure state and returning to an ordinary pressure state is repeated so that the void part 42 can be entirely filled with the insulating material 50. Thus, even when a bias voltage is applied to a bias electrode, an electric field is prevented from concentrating on the void part 42. Therefore, occurrence of discharge breakdown or expansion of image defect can be suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
