<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To originate a high-refractive-index glass which has high heat resistance and can be in agreement with the refractive indices of an organic light emitting element and ITO. <P>SOLUTION: The high-refractive-index glass includes, in mass%, 10-60% of SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, 0-5% of B<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>, 0.1-60% of BaO, 0.1-40% of La<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>+Nb<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">5</SB>and 0-10% of Li<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O+Na<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O+K<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O as a glass composition; has a (MgO+CaO)/(SrO+BaO) ratio by mass of 0-0.5; has a strain point of 600°C or more; and has a refractive index (nd) of 1.55-2.3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
