<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make quality of video high when a motion vector is detected and to improve detection accuracy of the motion vector. <P>SOLUTION: When an inputted progressive video signal is converted into an interlaced video signal and the interlaced video signal is made into a motion compensation code, the progressive video signal is stored in a motion vector searching frame memory, the stored progressive video signal is used as a reference image and the motion vector is detected. The interlaced video signal is made into the motion compensation code by using the detected motion vector and the motion vector is prevented from being erroneously detected even in video with less motion and detection accuracy of the motion vector is improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
