<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide hydrogen gas-containing calcium carbonate retaining 0.1-50 μL of hydrogen gas at 25°C per 1 g thereof, where the period required for the hydrogen gas retaining amount going down by half after production is six months or more at 25°C temperature, 50% humidity under open atmosphere, and to provide a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The hydrogen gas-retaining particle of the following component [a] is obtained as follows: immersing one or more particles selected from the group consisting of a shell, pearl, weathered reef-building coral and calcium carbonate (component [a]) in one or more selected from the group consisting of methanol, ethanol, propanol, monosaccharide aqueous solution, disaccharide aqueous solution and organic acid aqueous solution (component [b]), irradiating ultrasound of 10-60 kHz for 1-60 minutes to make the component [b] attach onto the component [a], air-drying it, and firing at 250-500°C for 10 min to 5 hrs to decompose a hydrogen-source material so as to generate hydrogen gas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
